The Witch Bridle and Other Witch Legends in Eastern Slovenia
Abstract
Presented are (migratory) legends about witches that were recounted by people living in rural parts of eastern Slovenia. Although people also told stories, or memorates, about their own fi rst-hand experience with witches these legends were not a part of the local witchcraft belief system but generally served to only amuse and entertain.
